2 Club Kickup

Description:  This is a great way to do a flashy start, but can also be used for other things such as in the middle of a passing pattern.  The idea is to kickup two clubs from the same foot and catch them as a split.

The Placement:  Place the knob of the front club on top as shown in the picture below.  The clubs can be even with each other as shown in the picture, or the front club can be pulled in more (but not the other way around).  Take a look at the picture for the catch.  The clubs will split as if you had thrown a 2 club flat front.  The back club will fly the farthest to the other side of your body.  The farther you pull in the front club and the farther you push out the back club, the more the clubs will split.  Try experimenting with the placement to find the optimal amount of split.  I usually have the front club pulled in a tad to make the split a little wider.

The Kickup:  If you are having collision problems, try adjusting the placement for a wider split.  If they are still colliding, then you need to not pull back so far with your leg.  Do not aim your kickup forward.  Aim for across your body.

The Catch:  The catch should be the same as for a 2 club flat front.  Make sure that your left hand palm is facing out away from you.  See the picture below.
